Broad expertise delivers smart solutions to customer-specific challenges
Rani Poli has worked with AP automation for 18 years, primarily with the Rillion platform. As a consultant, he supports Optema’s customers with everything from integrations and customizations to smart solutions that make everyday work a little easier.
Ever since his time at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Rani has enjoyed working in a hands-on, solution-oriented way. This is one of the reasons he is a highly valued consultant among Optema’s customers. Thanks to his long experience, Rani has built broad expertise in invoice process automation and is happy to take full ownership of projects – from needs analysis and project management to delivery and training.
Rani helps Optema’s customers with, for example:
- Integrations between Rillion and ERP systems, or other third-party systems
- Migration of historical data from legacy systems to Rillion
- Customizations in Rillion to meet specific business needs
- Configuration and training of Rillion’s various modules, including invoice workflow, purchase order matching, and procurement
Working as a Rillion consultant is both varied and creative. According to Rani, that’s one of the biggest advantages of the role:
“Every customer is unique. When I meet a new customer, I always start by reviewing their Rillion setup and invoice process to truly understand their needs. That’s when I can identify where manual work occurs and suggest solutions that simplify things for the customer. This is what makes consulting so rewarding – being able to contribute directly to the customer’s business.”
Rani has previously spent a lot of time helping customers upgrade to Rillion’s cloud solution. Today, with the majority of customers having moved to the cloud and benefiting from automatic version updates, it might seem like the need for consultants would decrease. But that’s not the case, Rani explains:
“Many customers still have needs that are not fully covered by Rillion’s standard solution. In those cases, we need to build smart customizations to avoid manual work and disconnected processes.”
At the same time, it’s crucial that customizations are built in a way that doesn’t interfere with upgrades and new Rillion releases. This is one of Rani’s specialties: creating smart solutions that help customers get the maximum value out of Rillion – tailored to their own reality and day-to-day operations.
